DONS SOCCER CAMP 2010: Summer soccer camp was a huge success last year. We hosted 15 boys ranging from 5th grade to 8th grade. The camp was fun while being challenging to even the more advanced players. We are now looking into adding a “team” section to the registration form so we can host teams as well. The Del Mar players also enjoyed helping with the camp. We are looking forward to 2010 summer camp. Many positive comments from both parents and players.

Holiday Tamale Fundraiser: The Dons will be looking to raise money for new uniforms for the Frosh/Soph team and some new equipment for both teams. Please help us reach our goal and purchase some delicious tamales from one of the players or parents. These tamales are from Zapata’s in San Jose! You can also down load a order form from the site. We have three flavors to choose from and they will be available for pick up at Del Mar on Dec. 19. Lovato Cup 11-30-09 through 12-6-09 Both the Frosh/Soph and Varsity squads will be participating in this annual tournament. We will be competing against some quality teams from the upper divisions. This will be a good test for the Dons and a great opportunity for the coaches to see how the team will develop going into the regular season. The tournament will be played at James Lick High School on their turf field.

Lovato Cup 12-5-09:Varsity advances out of their flight by beating San Jose 3-0 and tieing Overfelt 1-1 in the closing minutes. Frosh/Soph runs the table to advance to the final! Frosh/Soph will play Wed. night 12-9 at 7:30pm Varsity will play Thursday night at 5:00pm in the 3rd place game. Both teams will play the host of the tournament James Lick. Please come and support your Dons all games at James Lick High School.
